Where do you work?
We work in Ukraine. Ukraine is in East Europe. It is a little smaller than Texas and has 45 million people. People here speak Ukrainian and Russian
We also visit an orphanage in the village of Komarivka every week.

We live in Kiev Ukraine.
We also visit an orphanage in the village of Komarivka every week.
What do you do as a missionary?
We spend a lot of time trying to learn Russian. Russian is very hard. When we go to church everything is in Russian so if we don't study we won't know what anyone is saying.
Меня завут Дэниел. Я объяжаю мои Украинскии друзей.
We also visit the orphanage and do games, crafts and Bible lessons with the kids every week.
Daniel with Meisha and Sasha
Janna with Nadya and Marina
We also raise money to help Christians who want to offer a home to the kids who have to live in the orphanages.
Who are some of the people you help?
I help Sasha. Sasha lives in the orphanage. Sasha's mom lives not far from the orphanage but she never visits. Sasha has a little brother who lives with her mom, but she never gets to see him. So Sasha usually feels like she isn't loved, and she gets angry a lot and gets into fights. So I try to always show Sasha that I love her, and try to teach her that when she acts out of anger she ends up hurting herself more than anyone. I try to show her that God loves her.
Anya is the girl on the right. Actually they are both named Anya, but the blond one is in the hospital.
Our team has also helped Anya. Anya has always walked with a limp and doctors said that if she didn't have surgery then one day she wouldn't be able to walk. But no one was going to help her. So our team worked on getting her surgeries. Now she is in the hospital while doctors make one of her legs longer, so we go and visit her because it can be very boring in the hospital.
What is the best part of what you do?
The kids.
After all the time I've spent with Sasha, she has started to respond to me. When she used to get mad she would kick and hit and spit, but now I can pull her aside, we talk and she can get over her tantrum. She knows that I am there for her and it is making a difference. A lot of these kids don't have any family who love them, so we try to show them that we love them and we will be here with them.
Thank you for spennding time to skype with me.
